I'm in docrafts Creativity magazine!!!!!

Yes!!! That's me...on page 79!!!

I was over the moon when I was asked, way back at the end of January - but now the mag is out, I can show you!! Thats me on the right hand page! Julie is another papercrafter...very talented, and is on the left hand side with her cards. We both got sent a bunch of yummy stuff to play with and make some cards to send to them (I got the V & A Hanoverian collection)..I made 5 and sent them all as I didn't know which 3 they would have room for on the page. But I'm chuffed with how it came out! ....

This card took a lot of time to make.,..getting the circle the right size in the paper, stamping those butterflies and putting them on the acetate front, lining up the pergola to fit just in the centre. I must admit, this is my least favourite of all the cards I made, but I love the paper on the front, and got in!

I love this one. It was my Hubbys idea to put the birds on the window... he took a real interest in the cards I was making for the magazine. I cut the curtains from the textured card I was sent, and made little tiebacks from ribbon. I used a brad from the collection to hold the ribbon in place.

I love the embossing folder that came in this collection, and used it on the cream card on this card. I inked all the edges and i just LOVE that paper! The rub-ons were so easy to use and good quality. I've had some rubbish ones before (from other companies) that woudn't all rub on, but these were great!

..and the ones that didn't get shown....

I was kinda hoping they would put this one in the magazine as I really like this one, but nevermind. I had to take a few pics of this to show it to you properly. I guess it could have been that it was difficult to photograph.

I used V&A papers, and the beautiful cottage stamp behind the window, with the matching rub-ons. ( hand written sentiment )

The one below was made on a card I was sent by docrafts. It was very tall! I used their card, their V & A papers, rubons and thier embossing is beautiful! I cut the edge with my scallop scissors and edged a little along the inside of the card with a matching paper to the front. There is no sentiment on this card, but I really like it too! Thanks for looking! xxx

Todays batch...mainly cats!

I just realised that I haven't uploaded the card I made for my Hubby for valentines day! Here it is... It's just us!

I was asked to make this for someone, which a few people will sign, so I embellished the inside of the card, with the main message matted and layered, for them to sign. I added the text onto the image and used my lightbox to emboss the edges of the card, after matting the image onto that lovely spotty paper I have had for yonks. I have decided that I must start to use that 12 x 12 paper stash!

I printed the text next to this cat image, before I embossed the edge and matted onto black card. A few gems finished this card.

A similar style card to the one above, made in the same way.

I thought this was such a fun image! I put glossy accents on the hearts and put this cute red singham behind the main image. Cute!

More baby cards

I recently found this lovely sentiment, and simply matted and layered onto soft baby ginghams, and added some punched flowers and leaves. Simple, yet effective, I think.

Another baby girl match with the boy card I put on the blog last week... I just love the little frame! It comes with the star already on, then I cut out the teddy and glossy accented her nose. I also embossed the edge of the card.. I love doing this, as I think it gives a lovely professional finish!

How I love these bears! I mounted them on little foam pads so they would stand off the card a little. I chalked the edge of the sentiment and matted it onto baby pink gingham.

...And here's the little boy bears! Again, I foam padded the bears and a bit of glossy accents on their noses, chalked around the edge of the paper and added some punched flowers and gems. xx

Baby boy cards

I have been trying to upload these all night but kept getting interupted! (at the last count, Lily my little girl cat, fell asleep right in my arms and I couldn't do a thing....just sat cuddling her and waiting for her to feel like moving!...I know, she's spoilt!!)

Anyway.... this is my first pic of the evening. I love this one, The paper is from a download site which im afraid is no longer we can't buy anymore of their gorgeousness :( i printed the sentiment on the pc and decoupaged ted on.

Again, I used my sentiment printed from the pc and a digi element frame I have. I also embossed around the edge of the card.

Again, I used the paper from the closed down site , my pc printed sentiment and some flowers and leaves I punched, with a few gems. Simple, but effective I think.

A selection of retirement cards

I decided to make some retirement cards and came up with these designs......

I love the sentiment on the card above. I found this on the internet and used a pc program to set it in the birdhouse frame. Quite chuffed I could do this!

This brown flowers paper is from a set of papers by hot off the press, which i bought years ago from a qvc tsv.

This leafy paper is from a papermania paper pack. I punched out the flowers and dievut the watering can.

I love this's by Debbie Mumm... I bought a few sets of her images a good while ago on PCCrafter, I think! A lovely docrafter sent me her lightbox as she doesn't use it anymore (Thankyou !!!) and I have been making good use of it. (You can just see the embossed lines around the image.)
