Back to school tomorrow...

Well, I didn't want to be making cards last minute this year and although I did a bit in January, I have more than caught up with myself now! I have been crafting quite a bit over half term, and once I made the sentiment for my sisters card, I thought I could make the same type of sentiments for my Mums mothers day card, and Hubbys Mums too. I think my sister will love this which i made for her for our birthday in March. I used pink petticoat papers, printed the sentiment on the pc myself, and the flower is so sweet - bought at bury market I think! I used a big flat-backed pearl for the centre of the flower, and added some black gems on the sentiment.

This is another version of the same card...this time, I turned the scallop edge piece to fit down the card, instead of across it. Again, Pink Petticoat papers were used.

This one is for Hubbys Mum.... made with the same sheet of paper as my sisters card.

Finally, I just made this earlier... I think this paper is so cute. I bought it at a sale in summer, and got about 60 sheets of paper this size, in about 10 different designs, for 40p! I have decoupaged the man with the lawn-mower. (you can just about see that in the pic if you lok closely!!) :) xx

I should be making other cards, but....

...I have had this set of images (from Charmed Cards and Crafts ) for a while now, and have never done anything with them. I have been meaning to make cards with them for ages!! So I had a play with them last weekend and printed a few images off....

I really should be making my Mums mothers day card and my Sisters birthday card! I only have another 3 days off for half term and am determined to get them made before I go back.... xx

I have had a play for the last two days with my craft stuff....just wanted to make some cards to stock up my "box" (although I have sisters birthday card to make, mums mothers day card and a friends just just before mine in march too!) So...this is just a quickie to show you what I have been up too...

Yey! It's half term!

Ooooh, it feels like a while since I have uploaded anything, so though I would start the half term holiday as I mean to go on...crafting! :)

Well, I made some of these a week or two ago - we were busy yesterday... going looking at wallpaper and sofas and carpets and everything else too... we are decorating the living room soon(ish) and we have seen loads of lovely things. Anyway - I made this card cos I love these Pink petticoat papers and I love this stamp I got for 50p at a boot sale!

A couple of days ago, I made this card to give to my lovely hubby today (valentines day!). Again, I used pink petticoat papers and handwrote the sentiment and cut the hearts freehand. He liked it :) well.... he made pancakes filled with strawberries for my breakfast this morning! (Aren't I lucky?! xx)
...and this is the card in full....

I found this stamp I had forgtten I had, and made this quick and simple card with it. just coloured the cats a little with my grey promarkers, added a sentiment and a little organza ribbon.

Oh, and I made this for my friends birthday in early February. The owl is from craftwork cards...I love their owls!!! xx

A 10 min card....

My Grandma went into hospital last week, unexpectedly. I went to see her at the weekend and she is looking ok, but needs to have a gallstone procedure.... so just before I went, I looked in my card box and realised I have no cards for "get well soon.." so I quickly whipped this one up... and I'm quite pleased with it! I made the greeting on the pc first, and then used pink petticoat papers and a flower and pearl from my stash, with a few little black gems at the bottom. Grandma liked it anyway :) xx

Latest cards

It.s my sisters boyfriends birthday in a few weeks and he is the big 4-0. I had been having a think about what kind of card to make, and then I remembered a card I had seen on Zoe Robsons blog...... so I had a play on Publisher last night, and came up with this! (I decoupaged the number in the middle of the red circle, too)

I thought others may like this design too, and so I made some for "my box". (I always have some extras in my box, for those times I only remember last minute, and incase anyone asks to see some of my cards. ) So, here are the others....

This is another I made for my box, using funky fairies papers...sadly, they are no longer online :(

And finally, a colleague at work just had a baby boy called James, so I made a card for him. Again, I used funky fairies gingham paper and I handcut the babygro. I punched out the flowers, chalked the edges of everything and handwrote the sentiment and his name. xx

Me again.. still on snowdays!

I have had plenty of time to be blogging and crafting this week...the snow is still piled high here and I still can't get my car out of the back cos of the snow and ice AND I'm unable to open my back gates! (to get my car out)

Anyway, I got a fab little stamp in "Home bargains" last week...for the measely sum of 49p! It's this beer stamp.... just thought it would make a good mans card...and I immediately thought of some papers with clocks on which are from Funky Fairies (...which I believe, have now closed down). I love the aqua colour with the brown clock paper, and loved the look of a quickutz beer mug with them image, too.

This is the same image and papers again, but without the beermug. I might try a sentiment on here though....not sure yet....

While making some cards for someone on docrafts the other day (I was donating some breast cancer care cards to her) I used an image from Pink petticoat, to make a card to have in my collection. The paper is Pink petticoat too and I love the colours of this one. Coloured with promarkers.

I made this one for my Aunties birthday a few days ago. I used a new stamp I bought about 2 months ago...from a car boot sale... the cat samp was 50p and this is the first time I have used it! It is quite a large stamp, but that makes a nice change for me... I only have small stamps really. The paper is from a dovecraft pack, and I coloured a little of the image with my promarkers.

On the theme of cats, anyone who knows me will know I have 2 cats whom I adore...and spoil like mad! (see pic of them on post below) On Tuesday, Hubby also had a snowday with me, as we couldn't dig out his car and the roads were thick with snow. So, apart from taking a walk down the Sankey Valley park, at the bottom of our road, we made a snowcat in our back garden! It's not too detailed or shaped that well, because I was just so cold! almost as cold as when were were in New York! xx
