First Birthday

My friends little girl has had her first birthday today - and we went round for a little party on the weekend. This is the card I made for her. She is a real "little girl" and i wanted it to have pink on and a teddy. They loved this card. I used glossy sccents on the flowers in the corners, and the heart and the bees. (you can't really tell in the piccie though) xx

Morning..I have been tagged...

..by my lovely friend Deb (who I need to say a HUGE CONRATS too, for becoming a design team member at Poppicrafts...you go girl!!!!! x ) and a new friend... Michele. HI michele! I havent seen Micheles blog before, but she must have seen mine as has tageed me, so I will keep a watch on her blog, now I know its there :)

Anyway... The rules are:
1. Link your tagger and list the rules on your blog.
2. Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog, some random, some wierd.
3. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names and links to their blogs.
4. Let them know they have been tagged by leaving a comment on their blog.

OK...
1. Ionce came runner up in a McDonalds colouring competetion (I was about 7) and won loads of Maccas goodies.
2. I still remember (from primary school) the correct order in which all the books of the old testament (from the bible) come in. (!!!)
3. Whenever Hubby and I are in a lift or on an escalator, we always have a quick kiss. (just a peck!)
4. I used to paint childrens murals in my spare time - summer hols etc, and would love to start up again.
5. I am totally completely and utterly phobic of needles.
6. I have bought half of my christmas presies already - but not made one single christmas card! ;( (yet)
7. I love to get up early on a weekend and go car booting with Hubby.

Well, thats me! I now have to pass this onto 7 others....seems a lot of ppl have done this tag though so I dont think I shall quite reach 7. Let me see....
My friend Michelle and her Mum who are brand new to blogging aka the Krafty Kows . Also, Cass , Sarah and Kerry . Hope you don't mind, girls! xx

Remember this....

...is the name of the decoupage sheets I have used to make this card. I haven't really done much decoupage before, but I really like this range of sheets - especially for men and for older ppl that can remember those times! (no offence to anyone who can remember!!) :)

I made this for hubbys dad who is 70 in a couple of weeks (he was also a miner in his younger days). I always find mens card difficult to make, esp dads. :) If you like decoupage or like something a bit different, I would thoroughly recommend these sheets... straightforward to do and effective, I think!?! Thanks for looking. xx

Not made a card for ages, so....

thought I would make a nice one for my m.i.l birthday this weekend. Wow.... it was difficult! I spent wed night, thurs night , a little of fri night and sat morning making this card. I just had no inspiration and din't know what to do! I ended up using lilac Pink Petticoat paper and also their buttermilk spotty paper, a penny black sticker (never used any of these images before, but I love the hedgehogs!) a flower I bought for 4p (ok, i bought quite a few of them at that price!!) while on hols in cornwall this summer, and the letters and numbers are cut from the cuttlebug hippiechick alphabet which I cut on my big shot. Hope she likes it when she opens the card!

I think it's an obsession!!

...See what I mean? I really love those american style ones at the top. The pink one which has chocolates and cakes all over it, is for my neice. She is 5 soon and loves all the bags I create...she picks a differnt one each week, to sling over her arm, to take (with Nana) to the library to carry her books back. She is such a CUTIE!!! xx

More bags......

Well, you know me...I just love doing these bags and everytime I find some fabric I love, I just can't help myself...think it's becoming an addiction!! xx

American folk-art cards

I have been having a play with some new images I have...they have quite an american feel to them I think. For the first go with some of then, I have simply inked the edge and popped them onto card...with a little glossy accents on the hearts or apples or flowers. There's room on the fourth card (with the house on) for a greeting, but haven't decided what that's going to be, yet. xx
