Have you ever been to Canada / America?

...Because, if you have, you may have seen the gorgeousness that is CINNABON. They are a company who make these wonderful cinnamon swirls, amongst other cinnamon type things. Well, Hubby and I had one on honeymoon and then again, when we went to Canada in 2007, and I luuuuurve them! You wouldn't have believed the joy, when we found this company - CINNZEO - in Oldham (Spindles shopping centre) on Monday!!!

We had to sample one, as it looked the same as the canadian cinnabon. It tasted the same too!!!! We spoke with the woman who was making the m, and she told us they were part of the CINNABON company - and they were trained by people form Canada, to make them!

Well, as we were leaving the shopping centre, we had to pop back and buy this gorgeous pack too.... 20 seconds in the microwave - and its pure heaven!!!!!!

So - if you are passing by Oldham, please stop in the centre and show your support, by treating yourself to a CINNZEO. They are the only one shop in the whole of the UK (up to now!!!)
(PS.... Hubby said the cinnamon latte they do is delicious too!)

New Years Resolution...

My new years resolution was to make sure I had my cards made in advance of each occassion - and not be be stressing and making them the night before! So...here are some I made on the last day of my christmas holidays...

This is my sisters card... she is my twin. It is our birthday in March so I have made this well in time! Made the words on "wordle" and glittered the end of each swirl. Butterflies cut on my bigshot - from sparkly card (though you can't really tell it's sparkly on this pic).

My Hubby made an encaustic picture for this card (encaustic = wax, painted on with an iron!). I am hopeless at this technique but hubby is just getting better and better at it! I added the peel-off greeting as I thought it would enhance the picture.

My sister-in-laws birthday is this weekend - she is very cool and trendy and I think she will love this pink petticoat image! I put 3D gloss on the present, the drawn flower and the centre of all the little sunflowers.

I even made Hubbys card ready for valentines day. The day before, Friday Feb 13th, we are on a ghosthunt!!! We have been to one before and had a fantastic time...we shall be there from 10:30pm - 4am, at the hall where we married, so didn't want to be thinking about making this card that night! Again, I used "wordle" for the wording...you just type in words to do with a subject, and it jiggles them about, and makes them different sizes and colours....you keep going till you find an arrangement you like! I handcut the hearts and sent one through the swirls embossing folder. The heart at the top is made of gold card, but it showed up more like black on this photo! I added ribbon to the top and little touches of gold stickles glitter here and there.
