Thursday, 31 July 2008 beautiful neice

This is my gorgeous neice. I went over to Mums last week to spend a day with her and we had a lovely day - dressing up and playing at the local park/playground. We had a super time and she was a little star. Just wanted to show her to you!

I made some cards today... I haven't made any for ages! I had bought the home sweet home images from Pink Petticoat a while ago, then printed them off and watercoloured them and they have been sat, patiently waiting, while I have been making my bags. So I got them out today and had a play. I think I like them...

I wasn't really going to be making many more of these, but have found some bargain fabrics recently (and some not-so-bargain! which i just loved myself) so I had to make more... I was specifically asked for a dog bag - finally found that fabric on the weekend on our trip out. Then I went to a village hall yesterday afternoon, for a couple of hours, where they sell homemade cakes....and I sold some more bags, so I think I am gong to try and do a market stall or two over the next few weeks while I am off school on summer hols!

Oh, and then....

....I got this award from Kerry-Jo!!! Two in one day!!! Thankyou ladies!!!

This is called the Stemple award and I can pass it onto 3 others. Well, I haven't seen this award around much, so I can pick 3 ppl whose blogs I like to browse - as often as I can! So..... Debs , (how nice to be able to send you an award before you send it to me!) Sharon , and Han ( whose blog I only found today after she put a comment on my blog. Her cards are stunning!) xx

What a good day!!!

Firstly, I went to the dentist for a check-up - dreading that she would find something to do to me... but no... everything was fine! (although I am £16.20 lighter!!!) Then I had a check-up at the doctors...and everything was fine there, too! (no charge!)

Then I logged on this evening to find two super people have sent me awards!!! My good friend Deb sent me the "Wylde Women" award... see pic above. The purpose of it is "to send love and acknowledgment to women who brighten your day, teach you new things and live their lives fully with generosity and joy", which is a lovely sentiment, I think!
The rules are: -
1. You can give it to one or one hundred or any number in between - it's up to you.
2.Make sure you link to their site in your post.
3. Link back to this blogsite (http:// so Tammy can go visit all these wonderful women.
4. Remember the Purpose of the Award.
I would like this award to go to everyone who visits my blog and leaves a comment - cos I always look at the blogs of everone who leaves me comments... and am so impressed with the stuff I see on everyones pages! xx

Wow.... an award (i think!)

The lovely Debs has given this to me today. Lovely surprise...thanks Deb! Wish it was real, with everlasting money on it,. but hey - you cant have everything! :) lol .
Her are the rules...
1. Only 5 people allowed.
2. 4 have to be dedicated followers of your blog
3. One has to be someone new or recently new to your blog and live in another part of the world.
4. You must link back to whoever gave you the award.
Hmm...well, I shall have to give this to ppl who leave me comments on my blog, as I don't know who is a "dedicated" follower of my little blog, so I shall pass this to.... Jo , Kerry-Jo , Kath , Katy , and a new edition... Sarah who has just in the last day or two, joined this crafty world of blogging. (I'm hoping that I can get away with the fact that none of these ppl live near me, so are all from "another part of the world" !!! :)

My stall at the craft fair on the weekend...

..... I sold 16 bags!!! I took 25 bags and was so pleased to sell so many! I had loads of lovely comments about the bags and was so chuffed!!! I still have a few left, and bought some more fabric yesterday at a huge fabric store in Liverpool, where lovely hubby took me for a trip. My Mum did the stall with me and we sold our acrylic mirrors, too....they are all sorts of shapes and sizes and prices...ranging from 50p for teeny mirrors (to use on cards) up to £20. (thye are lightweight, shatterproof, have childsafe edges, and are fab!!) I took some pics of the stall, so see what you think....

Latest bags....

I have had loads of lovely somments on these bags, and some people even asking if they can buy one from me! If you really are interested, please email me. I have been making more, as I'm off to do a craft fair with them tomorrow, and needed plenty (just in case!) so here are my final few...

Wedding acceptance

I was given an evening to make a card which would be used to accept an invite to a wedding...and could I incorporate some embellishments from the original invite? Sure! I can have a go...... the gold paper and ribbon are from the wedding invite. Made this one quite quickly as I was very tired...having spent the day in Camelot with 70 year 6's!!!!

Card Order (1)

A friend called on Thursday and ordered a card for a couple who have just found out they are going to have a baby. I realised I needed to send one of those cards too, so made up two for my friend to pick from.... she chose the first one, with the picture of the tum heart and hands. I chose that one too, so had to make another! It's hard to see in the pic, but I used the cuttlebug hearts embossing folder on the top card.... a strip of 3 hearts from the top to the bottom, just underneath the photo. (handwritten sentiment)

Card order (2)

I was called last Thursday and asked to make a card for a 40th birthday. I came up with these two on Friday night, so she could choose. I knew nothing about the person it was for...except it was a card for a female. She chose the card with the pink petticoat flower cake image.
