A totally different card.

I saw a card along these lines in someones gallery on Docrafts (I'm sorry - I have forgotten who that is!!) and I loved the idea, so I had a go! I made it my own by altering the shape slightly...it tapers a bit to the top. I didn't have any fruity stamps, so I just cut it out freehand and drew the seeds on. Maybe I need a scallop punch if I'm going to make more of these... it was quite fiddly to cut with my trusty scallop scissors. The ribbon keeps the card shut. Just the right kind of card, I think - for this weather!!! (We were up at 5am this morning to go car booting and the weather was beautiful when we got there at 6:20am!)
My Hubby said..."um....its different!" when I showed it to him..... hope you like it! xx

I made a maze book!

I have been inspired by Chelle and her Mum to make a maze book. I love the little books that they make to sell on their stalls. I watched a tutorial on U-Tube and had a go! the paper in the middle isnt exactly what I wanted, as I wanted a plain colour, but couldnt find a few 8x8 pages the same in one colour. This is just an experiment really. I used the big bite to make a hole in the front so I could add the flower charm and some ribbon so it will close. For the front and back, I used the back of a writing pad! I will post new pics once I have filled this with pics and sentiments.

I really enjoyed making this...it didn't take long, was quite simple, but has made me want MORE papers!!!! xx

I forgot my friends birthday!!

I am the worst friend in the world!! Chelle, I am sooooooo sorry!!! When I realised I had missed it, I thought I would leave it a week or two, and then surprise you by sending a sorry card. Now I know you got it, I hope it made you smile!!! xxx

Good luck in your SAT's Y6!

I work with a few classes of Y6 in primary school. They have to sit their S.A.T's this week, so I made each class a card, to hopefully send them a little good luck. For this first card, I used a Pink Petticaot image of an owl graduating, with a background paper that I love! I think I printed it from Crafters Companion. (Hand written sentiment)

For the second card, I used papers which I bought from the pound shop last yr. The image is from the fabulous Kerry Jo ...thankyou!! I stamped the sentiment on this card, inked the edges slightly and srew a little faux stitching round the edge.

My final card is made using pound shop paper again, and another Pink Petticoat image. As with the owl, I used glossy accents on the scroll and it really makes the scroll feel different! I hand wrote the sentiment around the image and cut the circle and scallops myself, as I don't have any nesties....yet (!?!?!)

Well, OK... this isn't a good luck card. Just playing with some images and I really liked these dogs. I do lots of cat cards and hardly ever any dogs, so p[layed around and came up with this one. Think I like it. No much room for a sentiment, but that's OK cos I didn't know what It should say!

Boot sale BARGAIN !!!

Just a quickie... I bought this stamp today. We had just been shopping at a local market, and passed by a car boot. There was only about another 30 mins until it closed, so w didn't think there would be much there to buy. Well, look at what I got for 50p !!!! Its a lovely stamp, a good size and by Rubber Stampede. I also had my first proper play with my new promarkers. I think it's OK for a first go. XX

Cheeky cow! ;)

Well, a friend's birthday is coming up and i had been directed by a lovely soul on Docrafts, to this image...I love it! I used the papers (blue and pink) from the Dovecraft floral stack, which I bought in Llandudno,a purple flower from Bury Market (wonderful place!!!!) a bit of organza black ribbon and craftwork cards sentiments, from the stash I bought at Aintree. The Scallop cards I used, were also from Craftwork cards. (I inked the edges and used a pen to dot the scallops.)
