On Sunday, I went to the fabulous Aintree Craft show, and spent all my birthday money that I had saved, easpecially for the occasion! It was fab!!! There were laods of stalls with plenty of goodies on them... one of my fave stalls this year was Craftwork Cards. I bought some scallop edged cards there, some sentiments and these gorgeous owls and birds!!! This first card was simple,...I inked the edges, adding a dot of black, watercoloured the owl and used a stamp (I had forgotten I had!!! ooops!!!) from QVC to make a frame around the owl. I like this card.

This is the first card I made with my new owls and birds. I used Pink Petticoat paper and cut the little branches myself. I used Craftwork cards images ans sentiment. I made this for my cousin whose birthday is coming up.
Again, I admit this stamp was from a set I got from QVC a while ago, and I had never used before! I know....I'm terrible!!! I usd the stamp twice in each corner, added some dots to the stamped swirls, watercoloured the bird with my bargain watercolour pencils ( £1 for an unopened new tin of 24 derwent watercolour pencils from a car boot sale!) The lovely purple card in the middle, I also bougth on a car boot sale (!!!) and the sentiment was craftwork cards again.
This is one of the bargain papers I got in Llandudno over the bank holiday weekend. I drew on the branches, added a little detail to the scallop edges and watercoloured the owl and bird again.
