Mum asked me to make a card for her friends, who are shortly to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. She saved me the picture of them on their wedding day, from the invite, and I used it on the card. Mum loved it. I didn't want to make it too fussy... (sorry the picture isn't very good!)
It was Hubby's birthday this weekend and I almost ran out of time to make his card! I ended up using the hallmark cd I recently got, and changed the sentiments on the front and the verse inside. I added some black gems next to the sentiment, and I also used glossy accents on the hearts, cats nose and bow, rose, candle flames and ribbon on the tail. xx

Birthday and Get Well.
Its my friends birthday at the end of the month, and she is a nurse. I thought this stamp would work perfectly for her! I used a craftworks card sentiment and the scalloped card is also craftwork cards. (coloured with promarkers)
My best friend has gone into hospital, with deep vein thrombosis, and an infection in his leg on top of that! I have been visiting him a lot and decided to make him a card... I just got the cd..Hallmark 2009 and decided to have a play...I came up with this card. He really liked it! Hallmark is clever... a bit like moonpig on tv, where you can change the text to say exactly what you want: a name or whatever. This card did originally say "while you're recovering..." and I changed it. Bit of a cheat, maybe. But something quick and easy! xx

Awww....
Hubby loved the card I made for him, and he gave me this one which he made on the pc. Awww.... I love it!! xxxx
I love the green patterned paper on this card below... its from a dovecraft paper pack. so cute.
Again, I used the gorjuss ginghams paper from funky fairies....such versatile papers, and I think just right for baby cards! xx
I don't have any cards to make for anyone in particular at the moment, but I got some half price promarkers in hobbycraft and wanted to colour some images (I used images from Pam again!) ....so I came up with these cards. Sorry I don't know the names of any of these stamps, but love each one.

It's August already!!
Where has the time gone?!?!
Well, it's our 4 yr wedding anniversary on the weekend, and I didn't want to be making Hubbys card last miute, so I got on with it today. I used the "old fashioned papers for him" by Pink Petticoat, and the image is from the same download, too. Using these colours, I think it's quite masculine. I'm hoping Hubby will like it...
My friends birthday is on Thursday....she loves American type images like this (me too!).... another Debbie Mumm image! I made this over a week ago, but didn't post it on my blog incase she saw it. She should have this by now...and I bet she opened it early!!!! (glossy accents applied to the cat, the bee. the bird and the butterfly.)

My hubby has sat with me for aggggges today, showing me how to type my sentiments onto the actual card, instead of matting and layering them on. He downloaded some lovely fonts for me to use too...he is such a love! I printed the image straight from my pc onto the card, too. Its hard to see on the photo, but I have used glossy accents on all the little berries on the border, and the bows. I also added a few black gems in the corner.
This image is from another of Pams lovely stamps... Thanks Pam!! (PS.... she has just started her blog, so please go and have a visit and let her know you stopped by) I put it with that "gorjuss gingham" and added a craftworks sentiment and punched flowers. I shall do one in traditional boy-blue, too.
