Well, the kast tiem I took my cards out to sell, a few weeks ago, I sold the last few of my handbag cards. One lady told me she had bought them from me before and kept looking out for my stall again, so she could buy some more...she bought the last three! So, while it's half term, I thought I would get loads of bits and bobs out and have a play. Here are the results.....

My first christmas cards!
I made this card for my friend Jaki, who lives in Canada. Thought I had better get it in the post, what with all the looming strikes! It inspired me to start my christmas cards earlier than I usually do! The image - I think, - is Tilda...tho don't quote me on that! One of my lovely friends on docrafts sent it to me. I coloured it with my promarkers, and added some glossy accents to her wellies. I matted her onto some lovely paper from a dovecarft paper pack, added some ribbon and some diecut snowflakes.
I made this for another Canadian friend...who has been staying with my folks for the last three weeks. I wanted to give her this before she went back there...she will be on the plane home now as I type! You can't see it in this pic, but I have glittered a lot of this card with stickles gold glitter, highlighting: the bells, clock, ornaments and fire.
I got into the swing of these cards so made this for a stall I am having soon. Another La pase dcoupage...glittered (although it didn't photograph). Love the curtains on this one.
And one more.... for the stall. (La pashe decoupage) I love the images of the old fashioned toys in this window. You can just imagine what the little girl is thinking. Again, glittered on all of the snow parts, and santas beard....but it didn't show up again! xx

Hubby's Dad's birthday
I made this today - it's from the La Pashe series. These are great fun to make. I made this one a little differently .... I cut the top half off the front piece of the card and used the hanging meats part of the image on the inside of the card. On the front bottom half of the card, i put the lower shelves of the shop, and decoupaged on the old couple looking at the meats. I think you may be ble to see hwta I mean, from the picture, better than I can explain it, anyway! Hope he likes it! (he likes market shopping and black pudding!) xx

Card order from neighbour.
My neighbours daughter is doing dance at uni and asked me to make some cards for her daughter to give her friens...saying good luck (for a ballet / modern show they are to be in) and one card to say well done.... from my neighbour to her daughter. She asked me weeks ago and I have been putting them off and putting them off. I have finally got down to it, and am fairly pleased with what I have come up with. Pink petticoat papers used, black organza ribbon, and lots of black spots of stickles sparkle!

Why did I leave it so late?!
It was my mother in laws birthday on Tuesday and I only made her card on Sunday night...we delivered it to her after work on Monday. Think my mojo had disappeared recently and I just couldn't get any ideas together to make a card for her. Anyway - I used this template I have and a paper from dovecrafts behind.... I thought it resembled zips. I made the sewing machine a little smaller than the template, and added my own needle and little knob/ wheel near to the needle. Thought buttons would look appropriate in th centre of the flowers. xx
