It's coming up to wedding season....

Yes... it's coming up for that time of year again... wedding season!

The first card is for my Aunt and Uncle... they are celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary in June. My twin sis and I were their bridesmaids...in pink satin dresses, with a big hoop underneath, and our hair was curled into ringlets. Oooh, those were the eighties!

Anyway, I generated the sentiment on the pc, and used a pink petticoat image, then matted everything on silver. I used glossy accents on the glasses, so they shine.

This card below, I made for a teacher at school.... she is now in Turkey, and is getting married on Wednesday. I used Pink Petticoat paper... called pretty doddles, matted on shiny black, and a ribbon tied around. Sentiment printed directly onto the card.

This is the other wedding card I made today... well, not strictly wedding, but a "renewing vows" card. Another Aunt asked me to make this for her to give. I hope she likes it!!

As you can see, this is not a wedding card... it's a card I made today for a special little girl who needs a bit of cheering up. The image is a gorjuss girl image...I love this one, with a cat. I have added some glossy accents to her red shoes, so they are shiny. I love little girls red, shiny shoes! I hope this cheers her up a bit. xx

Debs birthday and mural-type-thing!

Well, I have been wanting to put on these pics of our mural , since I painted it, but couldn't seem to get a good pic of it. (I's along a long wall in the hall, which is only a very long and thin hall so very awkward to get a good angle.) This will have to do - cos I have given up trying now! WE bought a huge "sticker " off the internet as we loved this sentiment. (we decorated our hall and living room in the easter hols) Anyway, as we were carefully trying to get it stuck into place, it all rolled up and stuck back on itself....it was like the worst (EVER!!) stciky-back-plastic. Nightmare!

So, Scott said we should have a go at doing our own! He made the banner on the pc and i chopped it up and stuck it all today, then we used it as a template for these words. I panted them by hand over a couple of evenings and hey presto! We are really pleased with it....and it's the first thing you see when you come in the front door. ....

Can you see that I have stuck some little gems to the wings of the butterflies and dragonflies? (and even a couple of o few of the letters pof the sentiment)

Then last week, I realised a friends birthday was fast approaching. She is an amazing crafter herself, and they are always the awkward ones, aren't they? heeehehe... She loves France, and sadly, I think she wants to move there, and when I saw this paper and image, I thought of her! Luckily, she loved the card...well, thats what she told me anyway :) heheheheee...xxx

Boot sale bargain again!!

We were up bright an early this morning (as usual for a weekend!!) and we went to three car boot sales. One one stall at one of the boot sales, look at what I bought... and all for the measley price of just £7.00!!!!!!

The bottom two punches are HUGE!!! I didn't really NEED any of them, but for the price I got it all for, I couldn't resist.

Here's the stamps in better detail... both lovely, I think.
The snowman stamp is unused, made by Anitas, and the other is alos unused, and made by Inkadinkadoo.

This stamp even came on an acrylic block! Again, it's unused ans made by Inkadinkadoo. The bauble stamp reminds me of a stamp I bought at christmas when we were on holiday in New York. This one I got today is made my Funstamps and hasn't been used.

.....and I just couldn't resist this paper pack. It ios complete and was part of my £7.00 deal. I used to love "forever friends" when I was younger, and have always liked the look of these packs...but not the prices. The price is still on this one!

I could have bought sooooo much more...she had loooads of punches, ink pads, colourbox cats eyes, christmas stamps, embossing powders and heat guns, card blanks, papers, rub ons, decoupage papers, brads, fiskars shapeboss, embossing stencils, marvy le plume pens....soooo much I can't remember it all ! As you can imagine, her stall was very busy - and I think I was one of the first to find all this lovely stuff, so I got the pick of the bunch. xx

And there's more....

It's my cousins birthday in a few days...and she's mad into owls. I try to make her a differnt owl card every year... and this is this years card. This is my first ever gorjuss girls card. Soooo cute, this image!! The papers are some I have on the pc...downlaoded them a while ago, I think! The sentiment you will recognise...from craftwork cards. (I love their stuff)

Then I had a play with another gojuss girls image...I love this cos of the cat! Think this card would do for a number of different occassions, so I didn't put a sentiment on it.

I bought this images ages ago, from pccrafter, and finally got round to putting it on a card...again, no sentiment as I can use it for differnt occassions. Papers downloaded.

This image is made from 7 different png images, which I sized and put together to make this picture. Thought it would be cute for a new home card.

Hi!!! I feel its a long time since I last blogged... well over a month now! My friend - at work - has been telling me to sort myself out and get going on it cos shes seen those last pics soooo many times. hehehehe.....

So... lets start with an engagement card I made for a couple I know, who recently got engaged. I used Pink Petticoat papers...I love Liz's papers! I made the sentiment on the pc..myself! It was a bit of a quickie, this one.

Then, a work colleague announced she was pregnant! I had no Mum-to-be cards in, so made a few. I found some templates I had in the bottom of a box, while I was having a craft room clearout recently, so used them to make about 7 different cards, so here's two of them....

On the bottom picture, I have used a handbag from craftwork cards, as part of the design... the handbag has a silver sentiment on it (which you can't see very well in the pic) saying.. Fantastic!
