Hanging hearts

I thought these fabrics which I use to make my bags, would make lovely hanging hearts. I have embellished them with brads, buttons and beads.

Different Shapes

...I have been experimenting with different shapes and fabrics. I like the birds, I think. Hubby has popped them on the christmas tree and they look kinda cute ;)

My new "thing" .....

Well, I have started sewing again. I keep seeing all these lovely padded hearts in the shops...and they are so expensive, and thought I would have a go at making my own! Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think....

The bottom two are made from felt. The others I made from cream fabric and red gingham fabric I already had in my sewing box. There are more to come.....

Christmas cards

I have finally got round to making my christmas cards! As it is so late in the year to be making them, I have had to make fairly quick cards, so here is a selection. I used my cuttlebug embossing folders a lot and also christmas papers from this years collection and older christmas collections from Pink Petticoat.

I just love these images...so easy to work with and effective, I think.

Christmas snowmen....

I love these images, and as regular crafters may spot, I have used Pink Petticoat papers in this card selection. I coloured the small images in with glittery twinklette pens to give a bit of sparkle.

Another tagging....

Shelley just tagged me again... thanks!! :) I have to give 7 wierd or random facts about myself. I have done something similar to this before, so I shall have to try and think of some different stuff to tell you! :)
1. My friends think I am like Monica ( from "FRIENDS") as I am a bit of a clean freak.
2. I met my wonderful hubby when he replied to my ad (for my soulmate) in the local paper, in the personal coloumns!
3. When eating a meal, I always save "the best bit" til last.:)
4. I could eat a whole jar of nutella straight from the jar - if I got the chance! :)
5. I don't like to drive anywhere I don't know... and I don't trust sat nav.
6. I once went to watch sing-a-long-a-sound-of-music at the theatre..we all had to dress up as something from the show...I went as a mountain!
7. I have finished my christmas shopping!!!! (I did start it in April though.)
I 'm not going to pass this on, as I have done a round of tagging recently, but would love it if anyone reading this wanted to take it from me and put it on their own blog. I love to read these types of things about people! (thanks for reading!!)

An Award again!

Thankyou so much to Deb for sending this award to me.,...it really touched me as i read the reason for this award...

"This blog invests and believes the PROXIMITY - nearness in space, time and relationships! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers!"
(How lovely!!)

Then I need to... "deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award."
I probably can't pass this back to Deb, as she sent it to me :) So I will send to...

My Grandmas Birthday card

I used HOTP papers from a TSV from QVC last year. The happy birthday and corner stamps came in the same set too. I used liquid pearls in the centre of each flower, and along the bottom. Not sure if I need the word "Grandma" on it, but I don't know how to get the word in the same style to fit the card, or where it would look best.

Love....

I used these images ober the weekend as I thought they would look lovely on a very simple card for an anniversary, engagement or love card. On the anniversary card, I decoupaged the heart inbetween the birds, and added glossy accents. I hand-wrote each of the sentiments and added a little liquid pearls. xx

First Birthday

My friends little girl has had her first birthday today - and we went round for a little party on the weekend. This is the card I made for her. She is a real "little girl" and i wanted it to have pink on and a teddy. They loved this card. I used glossy sccents on the flowers in the corners, and the heart and the bees. (you can't really tell in the piccie though) xx

I havent seen Micheles blog before, but she must have seen mine as has tageed me, so I will keep a watch on her blog, now I know its there :)

Remember this....

...is the name of the decoupage sheets I have used to make this card. I haven't really done much decoupage before, but I really like this range of sheets - especially for men and for older ppl that can remember those times! (no offence to anyone who can remember!!) :)

I made this for hubbys dad who is 70 in a couple of weeks (he was also a miner in his younger days). I always find mens card difficult to make, esp dads. :) If you like decoupage or like something a bit different, I would thoroughly recommend these sheets... straightforward to do and effective, I think!?! Thanks for looking. xx

Not made a card for ages, so....

thought I would make a nice one for my m.i.l birthday this weekend. Wow.... it was difficult! I spent wed night, thurs night , a little of fri night and sat morning making this card. I just had no inspiration and din't know what to do! I ended up using lilac Pink Petticoat paper and also their buttermilk spotty paper, a penny black sticker (never used any of these images before, but I love the hedgehogs!) a flower I bought for 4p (ok, i bought quite a few of them at that price!!) while on hols in cornwall this summer, and the letters and numbers are cut from the cuttlebug hippiechick alphabet which I cut on my big shot. Hope she likes it when she opens the card!

I think it's an obsession!!

...See what I mean? I really love those american style ones at the top. The pink one which has chocolates and cakes all over it, is for my neice. She is 5 soon and loves all the bags I create...she picks a differnt one each week, to sling over her arm, to take (with Nana) to the library to carry her books back. She is such a CUTIE!!! xx
